A nossa entrevista de hoje é com o pesquisador Kevin Randle. Ex-militar da Força Aérea norte-americana, este pesquisador norte-americano já escreveu ou colaborou com mais de 80 livros sobre ufologia. Kevin é um dos mais conceituados e principais pesquisadores do Caso Roswell. Falaremos sobre seu mais novo livro, “Crash: When UFOs Fall From the Sky: A History of Famous Incidents, Conspiracies, and Cover-Ups” (Quedas: Quando os UFOs Caem: A História de Famosos Incidentes, Conspirações e Acobertamentos), Ed. New Page Books, 2010.
1- Kevin, sobre o que é esse seu livro?
É um compêndio dos acidentes com UFOs começando com o ocorrido na França em 840 a.C e até o caso ocorrido em Ottawa, Canadá em julho de 2009.
2- O que temos de novo nesse seu livro?
Eu consegui as respostas para alguns casos que conhecidos há anos e sugiro algumas explicações. Pesquisei vários relatos já do século XXI e até obtive mais informações sobre Roswell. Descobri alguns casos inéditos através de uma pesquisa no Projeto Blue Book. No livro falo em mais de 100 casos no total.
3- Kevin, as testemunhas principais do Caso Roswell estão ficando velhas e irão morrer em breve. Você se preocupa que com isso o caso possa ser esquecido?
Nós nos preocupamos com isso, tanto que todas as nossas entrevistas com essas pessoas estão gravadas em vídeo. Muito desse material está guardado no Fundo para Pesquisa Ufológica (Gund for UFO Research – FUFOR). Tenho várias fitas de áudio gravadas e mesmo depois de tanto tempo ao ouvi-las sempre descubro algo a mais. Por exemplo, recentemente, e isso já está neste livro, eu pude entrevistar novamente um dos bombeiros de Roswell e o que ele me disse foi muito além do que tinha dito a Karl Pflock (também ufólogo). Em outras palavras, Pflock não fez as perguntas que eu fiz. Ele me disse coisas que corroboram com o que foi dito por Frankie Rowe. O que ele me disse? Leiam no livro.
4- Você acredita que hoje em dia seria mais fácil esconder a queda de um UFO?
Sim, porque existe uma espécie de desejo para desacreditar nisso. A não ser que a nave, os corpos e os destroços fossem encontrados em um lugar de fácil acesso, a atitude predominante é que não aconteceu nada.
5- Quais são seus próximos planos?
Estou trabalhando em outro livro chamado “Confissões de um Ufólogo”, que traça a minha história na pesquisa ufológica e algumas de minhas investigações que não coloquei em livro algum. Sim, Roswell estará nele, mas através de uma nova perspectiva.

1 – what is your book about?
It is a compendium of UFO crashes beginning with one in France in 840 AD and ending with one in Ottawa, Canada in July 2009. I take a look at many reports from 1897 and quite a few from around July 1947, including, of course, Roswell.
2- What news about UFO crashes we have in your book?
I\’ve been able to find answers from some of the cases that have been around for years and offer those solutions. I have looked at several reports from the 21st Century and even provide new details for the Roswell case. I have a couple of new ones that appeared in the Project Blue. Book files that no one has reported on to this point. There are just over 100 cases discussed in the book.
3- Kevin, are you concearning about the fact that all the Roswell first eyewitness are getting old and will die soon, so the case could be just forgotten?
We\’ve been aware of that problem for a long time which is one of the reasons that we video taped so much testimony. Much of that is housed at the Fund for UFO Research. I have dozens of audio taped interviews and I often learn new things by listening to those tapes. Just recently (and as outlined in the book) I was able to reinterview one of the Roswell fire fighters and what he told me went beyond what he told Karl Pflock. In other words, Pflock didn\’t ask him the follow up question I did and he provided some interesting corroboration for the Frankie Rowe story, telling my that the Roswell Fire Department didn\’t respond… having been told not to by the military, but Rowe\’s father, Dan Dwyer did, in his personal car go out to the crash site. So, Frankie\’s story isn\’t just her now, but one of the fire fighters who knew her father.
4- Do you believe that nowsdays would be easier to hide an UFO crash or not?
Yes, because there is such a will to disbelieve. Unless the craft, bodies and debris are found in a well traveled place, out in the open, the attitude of many is going to be that it didn\’t happen. They\’ll follow the path the Air Force gives them rather than taking a look for themselves.
5- what is your next plans?
I\’m working on a book called Confessions of a Ufologist, which traces my history in the field and some of the investigations I have conducted that haven\’t found their way into other books. Yes, Roswell will be there, but told from a different perspective.
